Yep! It is already 3 years ago that I started creating accessories and set up shop on Etsy.

Many things have happened since then, including a little name twist and a country change...

Eh oui! Ca fait déjà 3 ans que j'ai commencé à créer des accessoires et que j'ai ouvert ma boutique sur Etsy. Il s'est passé beaucoup de choses depuis, en passant par une petite modification du nom et un changement de pays...

Exciting projects on the way!

Mademoiselle Bagatelles is soon moving to a lovely new atelier in the heart of Paris, yay! We needed a little more space and to be closer to the action, and we finally found the cutest spot in an old Haussmanian building. And this is only the beginning of the exciting news! I have been working on a new project, very dear to my heart, to say the least, so stay tuned for more info later on. All I can say for the moment is the Bagatelles family is growing, ha ha!!!


For now, we are looking for a new intern to join our small team. 
If you love sewing, pattern cutting, beautiful fabrics as well as colours, this could be the perfect opportunity! The internship would ideally start as early as beginning of May, for about 6 to 12 weeks, depending of your availability.

Mademoiselle Bagatelles déménage bientot dans un nouvel atelier au coeur de Paris, yeah! Nous avions besoin d'un peu plus d'espace et aussi d'etre plus proche de l'action, et nous avons finalement trouvé le plus adorable des locaux dans un vieil immeuble Haussmanien. Et ce n'est que le début pour les nouvelles excitentes! Ces derniers mois, j'ai travaillé sur un nouveau projet, très cher à mon coeur, pour ne pas dire plus, alors gardez les yeux ouverts pour plus d'infos prochainement. Tout ce que je peux dire pour le moment c'est que la famille Bagatelles s'agrandit, ah ah!!!


Pour le moment, nous sommes à la recherche d’un/e nouvel/le stagiaire pour se joindre à notre petite équipe.
Si vous aimez la coupe, la couture, jouer avec les volumes, et une passion pour les belles matières et les couleurs, cette opportunité pourrait etre parfaite!
Le stage commencerait idéalement dès début mai pour une durée de 6 à 12 semaines, selon votre disponibilité.

Our new collection

This summer, I stumbled upon a great batch of gorgeous gorgeous kimono fabrics, and I couldn't wait to transform them into pretty party clutches. There were only small pieces per design, so I could only make few quantities of each clutch. Even better I think: each piece is truly unique that way.

Happy New Year 2012 to all!
2011 has been a great year, although a little disrupted by my move to France towards the end.
But I'm now all ready settled in Paris and ready for an exciting new year!
The past few months have been incredibly busy with the move and the installation in my new abodes, as well as designing a new collection (more on that later). One good thing about moving house is to get to redecorate and creating a new home. Since I have a much bigger place now (hooray!), I enjoyed moving things around and create a nice little nest for myself and for Mademoiselle Bagatelles.

And cherry on the cake, I got contacted by Anne from Design Sponge for a feature of my new parisian home!
Along with my photographer friend, we had great fun taking photos of my new space, and here is the result.

Bonne Année 2012 à toutes et à tous!
2011 a été une très bonne année, quoique un peu perturbée sur la fin par mon déménagement en France.
Mais je suis maintenant bien installée à Paris et fin prête pour une nouvelle année passionnante!
Les derniers mois ont été incroyablement remplis avec le déménagement et l'installation de ma nouvelle demeure, ainsi que la conception d'une nouvelle collection (j'en parlerai plus tard). Une bonne chose liée à un déménagement est de redécorer et l'occasion de se créer un nouvel espace. Maintenant que j'ai un appartt beaucoup plus grand (hourrah!), j'ai pu apprécié d'organiser l'espace et de créer un joli petit nid pour moi et pour mademoiselle Bagatelles.
Et cerise sur le gâteau, j'ai été contactée par Anne de Design Sponge pour un article sur mon nouveau domicile parisien!
Avec mon amie photographe, nous nous sommes bien amusées à prendre des photos de mon nouvel espace, et voici le résultat.

A new home for mademoiselle bagatelles

After almost 7 years in London, it's finally time to go back home. I will be moving back to Paris next week. My shop will be closed during the moving, from Sunday 18th September  until bagatelles' new home is all set and ready for action (probably on October 10th). This means the  production of my new collection is a bit delayed, but hopefully everything will be ready by mid-October and ready on time for the holidays.
The sales are still on in the shop, up to 50%off (I've updated all the prices manually to make things easier, so no discount code to enter anymore) until Sunday.

It's been a great 7 years and really enjoyed living here. There are so many things I shall miss. I met many interesting people and hopefully we will keep in touch. Paris is so close to London,  I'm sure I'll be back very often!
This city (and country) will always hold a dear place in my heart, and after all, it's my experience in London that gave me the courage to start mademoiselle bagatelles!

Après presque 7 ans à Londres, il est enfin temps de rentrer en France. Je déménage à Paris la semaine prochaine. Mon magasin sera fermé pendant ce temps-là, à partir du dimanche 18 septembre jusqu'à ce que la nouvelle maison de bagatelles est fin prête pour de l'action (probablement le 10 octobre)!!! Cela signifie que la production de ma nouvelle collection est un peu retardée, mais j'espère que tout sera quand même prêt d'ici mi-octobre, à temps pour la période de Noel.

Les soldes sont toujours dans la boutique, jusqu'à -50% (j'ai mis à jour tous les prix manuellement pour faciliter les choses, donc plus de code discount à taper) jusqu'à dimanche. 

Ces 7 années ont vraiment été supères et j'ai beaucoup apprécié la vie ici. Il ya tant de choses qui vont me manquer. J'ai rencontré beaucoup de gens intéressants et j'espér que nous resterons en contact. Paris est si près de Londres, je suis sûre que je serai de retour très souvent! Cette ville (et pays) occupera toujours une place chère à mon cœur, et après tout, c'est mon expérience Londonienne qui m'a donné le courage de commencer mademoiselle bagatelles !

I haven't been around a lot this month: we had family visiting almost all the time, and my days have been divided between showing them around and completing orders. And I will be leaving tomorrow for 10 days, off to Burgundy and Paris! The boutique and the Etsy shop will both remain open, but orders will be shipped upon my return, from 5 September.
In the mean time, some nice hot pink finds to brighten up the bank holiday!

Je n'ai pas été très présente ce mois-ci: nous avons eu des visites familiales presque tout le temps, et mes journées ont été réparties entre visites et terminer les commandes. Et je pars demain pour 10 jours, pour la Bourgogne et Paris! La boutique et la boutique Etsy  restent ouvertes toutes les  deux, mais les commandes seront seulement expédiées à mon retour, à partir du 5 septembre.

En attendant, quelques jolies trouvailles rose flashy pour égayer ce long week-end férié!

Some friends brought us a gigantic basket of redcurrant and raspberries from their garden over the weekend (mmm they were delicious!) and since then I've been dreaming about bright pink every night!

Des amis nous ont apporté un  gigantesque panier de groseilles et de framboises de leur jardin ce week-end (mmm on s'est régalés!) Et depuis, je n'arrête pas de rêver de rose vif tous les soirs! Ajouter une pincée de jaune bien vif, et vous voilà prêts pour un cocktail estival.

It's been so hot here, the only thing I can think of is laying down (ideally by a pool or the beach, with a good book and a sunhat! But things being what they are, I will have to content myself with our sofa and a soft cushion. Talking about cushions, I love everything about this one: its colours, its pattern, its size... Would be perfect for this book:)

Il a fait tellement chaud ici, la seule chose à laquelle je peux penser est de m'allonger au bord d'une piscine ou à la plage, avec un bon livre et un grand chapeau! Mais les choses étant ce qu'elles sont, je vais devoir me contenter de notre canapé et d'un coussin moelleux. 

A propos de coussin, celui-ci me plait vraiment, j'aime tout: ses couleurs, son motif, sa taille ... ce serait parfait pour ce livre:)
